I’ve never heard about Ripplewerkz or the name Lionel Chin. His name might be new to me but I’ve seen before his work such as famous blogger, Xiaxue’s blog and visited the website of Nuffnang.

In the lecture, he shared about his expertise and experience in web development and the use of new media tools in the industry.

He talked about the advantages in Web 2.0. More applications can be support with the use of Web 2.0.

He also talk about the amount he can earn with a design of a web and that each website are not sold pages.

Towards the end of the lecture. He mentioned about the difference between a freelance designer and an employee, recommending people to work in a company if they can’t and we should start as a freelance if we have yet to graduate.

When Lionel mentioned that he was in this job industry not for the money but for the work satisfaction when the client is happy with their work. I really agreed with what he said, because afterall we’re doing what we love and interest most.

I find it very useful to have a guest speaker to share their expertise as we’ll be able to know more about the industry and these knowledge will get us more prepared for the future.

Since they’re helping a lot of children. They could use another popular social media, twitter. Volunteer can help updating the progress about a particular children that the Children’s society is helping on. Computer Mouse is a device or object that i lay my hands on more than any other thing else daily. i touches it more than i touches my book. i hold on to it longer than my utensils.
Without the Mouse. i would not be able to navigate the cursor around my Desktop. it is highly associated with the computer. It changes how the computer work and without it. the computing world will never be as successful as today.

This article is about the evolution of Social Media. It talks about how social media became like how people wants it to be. Facebook only open to college students with valid .edu email addresses . MySpace was in its prime being used by 15-30 year olds on a regular basis. Twitter was in its infancy and only being used by a select few who were in the Internet (pre 2.0) industry. Blogs were not popular in distributing content but to use as personal journals.

Trending in Social Media has defined our culture. Facebook opened to the public and offer many applications and games. MySpace came into its own by specializing in Music. All of it can keep us engaged for hours and leave us updated in seconds becoming more beneficial for advertising campaigns.
